Alright, so my wife comes back home from the gym, and tells me about this wellpatch commercial and how stupid it is. I reply with "there are a ton of dumbass spots".... She laughs and makes me watch the TV for 3 days before I finally saw it..... This has to be STUPIDEST fucking spot ever put on the air.
Have you ever seen it, and what are your thoughts?

Well Well Wellpatch...I am relieved to see that I am not alone in my loathing for this 30 second opera of insanity...the focus of this spot is a large man who seems to be some sort of concept that an out of touch ad man had for the everyman working stiff.
He comes off as a kind of homosexual harlequin of sorts.
The first time I saw that spot, which usually airs Final Jeopardy...my reaction was WHAT THE PHUCK WAS DAT!!!!???????
That spot is an indictment of the mindset that Madison Avenue (is that still the Mecca of adverising?) has, that we the public will accept anything they shove down our minds.
I hate that spot.
I am still trying to figure out just what the f*** Wellpatch is anyway, is it an OTC transdermal psychoactive med, a non prescription seratonin uptake inhibitor? Does it aid in sexual prformance? Or in the case of the ad, does wearing it turn a husky man into a prancy-dancy nancy????
I thought it was so dumb. But the guy's voice grows on you. Perversely, I ended up liking it.
Months later I had occasion to need the product. The spot helped me remember the brand and, thus, the specific diplay case where I could comparison shop.
